Caravan extremely clean and well-equipped (even things like crabbing lines were provided for crabbing at Mudeford quay) and a thoughtful welcome pack of groceries greeted us. The caravan was in a quiet location on the campsite, but only a few hundred yards from Avon Beach, which meant we didn't have to use our car very much. The pool on the site is heated well enough so we were able to swim in it most days, and we found the site staff very helpful on the few occasions we needed to ask them something. Barrie the owner is very pleasant to deal with. Loads to do in the area too, we had a great holiday
As grandparents, we had a lot of family and friends visit during our stay and everyone loved it. A very clean and well equipped unit, even down to toys for younger children. All amenities, sea, beach, clubhouse, pool, pubs, restaurants, small shops and postoffice within short walking distance. Booked it again for next year.
We have just returned from a three-night stay between Christmas and New Year at The Bolt Hole which was very warm and cosy. The caravan is so very well equipped, with everything you could possibly think of. The lovely little touches which the owners have thought off include soap, shower gel, washing-up liquid, sauces, tea towels, tea, sugar and much, much more. There are also games and dvd selection which was useful. The location of the caravan is excellent and a minutes walk to the beach and to the wonderful Avon Beach Café and very closeby to Bournemouth. We would definitely recommend the Bolt hole and we will be returning in the very near future.
We have stayed at The Bolt Hole several times and love Mudeford for its friendliness and walks. The location of The Bolt Hole is wonderful if you just want to park up and not use your car for the rest of your stay. Likewise, if you want a bit more then it is a short drive away from Christchurch and Bournemouth. The caravan is very well equipped, cosy for those chilly evening , spacious and clean. Also has a brilliant shower!!!!
The Bolt Hole we lovely - clean, well stocked with everything you. could possibly need. Within walking distance of the quay and beach. Lovely sunsets. Lovely quiet park for the height of the season. Pool amazing for our three-year-old granddaughter who had so much fun she had the courage to swim on her own with her rubber ring in the big pool.
We enjoyed our stay. You could have been situated in a forest clearing, but the beach and sea front are also just a few yards away. The Bolt Hole is superbly equipped with good quality items, and board games,DVDs CDs,in abundance,so no chance of boredom should the weather not be suitable for outdoor activities,. In a nutshell an ideal site, very good facilities and makes a situation for an excellent family holiday.
We had a lovely stay in The Bolt Hole and found the accommodation spacious and comfortable. Traveling with an eight-month old baby made staying in a hotel less appealing and the extra rooms of the static home were ideal.
Welcome pack when we arrived to a lovely place close to a long sandy beach. We enjoyed our stay in the Bolt Hole and would recommend it.
The Bolt Hole is perfectly situated for use of the outdoor pool, visiting the quay, crabbing or taking the ferry over to the huts on Mudeford sandspit. There are so many beautiful places to walk to, and great restaurants to eat in. We bought a lot of seafood from the fishmongers on the quay and ate really well in the caravan when not out.
What a wonderful place to stay, next to a beautiful but not busy beach. The Bolt Hole was in a quiet location and had everything you could need. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys a chilled out holiday. The out door pool is a must as the water temperature was 27 ° C. Lovely holiday
The owner has been helpful from day one, giving lots of information about the caravan and the site. Very impressed with the Bolt Hole and its facilities. Fantastic setting with the views to the Isle of Wight.
The area is amazing, so much glorious scenery. The Bolt Hole was in such a lovely quiet location and so near to the beach. Everything in the lodge was perfect, home from home, everything was thought of. It was close to the harbour, bus routes and eating places. The swimming pool was lovely with a lifeguard on duty at all times. There is also a lifeguard on the beach for extra safety. The site itself was very clean, no litter and all the lodges were very well kept. Will defiantly be back. Having no car we found it very easy to get around, we went to Swanage, Poole, Bournemouth and of course Christchuch. The other way we went to Lymington and Milford on Sea. The transport around here is second to none.
